Dharwad: Despite the scorching sun, people are braving the heatwave to cast their votes, displaying unwavering zeal. By 11 am, many polling stations in the district are witnessing long queues. If this pace continues, the voting percentage may surpass the previous record of 70%.

First-time voters were seen exercising their franchise at a polling station in Garag. MLC SV Sankanur exercised his democratic right at a polling station established at a government school in Ramalingeshwar Nagar.

City residents Leeladevi Jain, her husband Chaganraj Jain, and their sons Mukeshkumar Jain and Nilesh Jain exercised their rights at a polling station at Guru Kumar School, Keshwapur.
